A number of things darken teeth, including age and a good many of the foods and drinks worth having. In most cases it can be changed. Professional whitening is quick and it lifts the whole appearance of a smile, which is why it is the most requested cosmetic treatment we do.

The in-office procedure

1. Your teeth are thoroughly cleaned
2. A cheek retractor is placed so the whole surface of the teeth is visible
3. A resin is applied to the gums to protect them
4. Opalescence whitening gel is applied and left for about fifteen minutes
5. The gel is suctioned off and the progress checked
6. More gel is applied for another fifteen minutes, then removed
7. A last application is made, then removed, and your mouth is cleaned

Including the initial cleaning, the whole appointment takes about an hour and a half.
